St. Adalbert's Polish-American Festival
On June 7 and 8, 2008 St. Adalbert's Church Festival returned after a 7-year absence. Before this break, the festival ran for 30 years without interruption. LOPCO Contracting's Proprietor, Tom Lopatosky, Co-Chaired the festival and was able to get his company's employees involved in all facets of the festival. From helping with Polish food preparation to festival setup to manning booths at the festival itself as well as site cleanup afterwards, LOPCO's presence was felt throughout this joyous occasion.
Located in Providence, St. Adalbert's is the oldest Polish ethnic Church in the state of Rhode Island. In addition to running the festival, Mr. Lopatosky is no stranger to representing his Polish heritage as evidenced on numerous occasions by donating his employees' time to get repairs and other issues resolved within the Church community.
On June 6 and 7, 2009, Tom Lopatosky, serving as Chairperson for the festival, again helped spearhead the event as LOPCO's employees once again helped with setup and cleanup and running a variety of booths during the festival itself.
In both 2008 and 2009, well over $20,000 was raised in each of these years as a direct result of the St. Adalbert's Polish-American Festival to benefit St. Adalbert's Church. Tom Lopatosky is proud that he and his company were able to be a part of the festival which financially and socially means such a great deal to this Polish Parish that is so rich in tradition.
The St. Adalbert's Polish-American Festival will be on Saturday June 5 from 6pm-10pm and on Sunday June 6 from 12pm-5pm.
