North Providence Contemporary
This is a home located in North Providence, Rhode Island. The homeowner had recently bought the home and wanted to re-stain the outside of it. The previous homeowner had neglected the exterior of the home for several years and now there rot issues, as well as peeling issues to deal with.
The house was pressure washed using a chemical rinse down process. Any rotted wood that was found was replaced upon receiving permission from the homeowner to do so. All peeling areas were scraped and then sanded and "feathered" out with palm sanders. One full coat of C2 oil-based exterior primer, tinted to match the finish coat color was applied to all included surfaces in order to guard against tannin bleed, to ensure proper color coverage, and to limit the millimeter thickness of all products being applied to the exterior of the home to what would be an acceptable level. The finish coat was then applied to all included surfaces using one coat of Sherwin Williams, acrylic, Woodscapes, exterior premium stain product.
