East Side Magnificence This is a home located on the East Side of Providence, Rhode Island. The homeowner had recently bought the home and wanted to re-paint the outside of it. The previous homeowner had neglected the exterior of the home for several years and now there were rot issues, as well as peeling issues to deal with. The house was pressure washed using a chemical rinse down process. Any rotted wood that was found was replaced upon receiving permission from the homeowner to do so. All peeling areas were thoroughly scraped. One full coat of Sherwin Williams, A-100 oil-based exterior white primer was applied to all included wood surfaces in order to guard against tannin bleed and to ensure proper adhesion. One full coat of Rustoleum, oil-based, rust oxide primer was applied to the fire escape on the home after prepping the surface in order to seal, protect, and guard against rust. The finish coat was applied to all included siding surfaces using one coat of Sherwin Williams, latex, Exterior Duration, flat. The finish coat was applied to all included trim surfaces using one coat of Sherwin Williams, latex, Exterior Duration, gloss. The finish coat was applied to all doors using two coats of Sherwin Williams, latex, Exterior Duration, gloss. The finish coat was applied to all included fire escape areas using one coat of Rustoleum, oil, gloss. Finally, two coats of Bruning, oil-based, Silathane, porch and floor enamel was applied to all porch floor surfaces. |
