East Side Victorian

This is a home located on the East Side of Providence, Rhode Island. The homeowner had owned the home for years and decided that it was time to re-paint the outside of it.

The house was pressure washed using a chemical rinse down process. All peeling areas were thoroughly scraped. One full coat of ICI Dulux, Dulux oil-based exterior white primer was applied to all bare wood and cracked paint areas in order to seal, protect, and ensure proper adhesion. The finish coat was then applied to all included siding and trim surfaces using one coat of ICI Dulux, latex, Dulux semi-gloss. All porch floor surfaces were treated with two coats of ICI Dulux, oil-based, Porch and Floor Enamel. All windows on the home were treated by removing the storm windows, thoroughly scraping and priming as listed above, re-glazing any areas that needed to be re-glazed with Dap 33’ glazing compound, priming all newly re-done glazing, finish coating as listed above, and then re-hanging the storm windows. As a finish coat, all doors received two coats, ICI Dulux, latex, Dulux semi-gloss.
