Westerly Beach House
This is a home located in Westerly, Rhode Island. The homeowner had owned the home for years and decided that it was time to re-paint the outside of it.
The house was pressure washed using a chemical rinse down process. All peeling areas were thoroughly scraped and sanded. This was an extreme case where the house had to actually be washed down again after it was scraped and sanded because of the way that the debris from the surface preparation process was "clinging" to the poorly conditioned shingles on the home. One full coat of Sherwin Williams, A-100 oil-based exterior white primer was applied to all included surfaces in order to seal, protect, and ensure proper adhesion. The finish coat was then applied to all included siding and trim surfaces using one coat of Sherwin Williams, latex, Exterior SuperPaint, gloss.
