Fall River Restoration

This is a home located in Fall River, MA and is one of our most extensive projects that we have done to date. The 3-story front porch was completely taken down and then re-built from the bottom up. In its pre-construction state it was structurally unsound and there was no other option but to re-build it. The porch was re-constructed with the idea of matching the original as close as possible.

All of the rotted/damaged beyond repair miscellaneous woodwork was removed and replaced.

All of the finish window trim on the right and front sides of the home was removed and replaced.

The existing downspout and gutter system was taken down completely, the soffits were re-constructed due to years of damage, and a new seamless, aluminum downspout and gutter system was installed.

All 3 triangular peaks on the home were completely restored. This was especially challenging when working with the centerpiece window in each peak and bringing them back to life.

A door was installed on the 1st floor in the rear of the home where no door had ever existed before.

The existing right side door and side-lite unit was completely removed and replaced.

A new roof was installed.

The house was pressure washed using a chemical rinse down process.

All peeling areas were scraped and sanded as appropriate. One full coat of C2 oil-based exterior primer, tinted to match the finish coat color was applied to all included siding surfaces and one full coat of Sherwin Williams, A-100 oil-based exterior tinted primer was applied to all included trim surfaces. In both cases this was done in order to seal all bare wood and provide a sound surface over which to apply the finish coat. The finish coat was applied to all exposed siding surfaces using the number of coats needed to ensure an even and consistent finish coat of Sherwin Williams, latex, Exterior SuperPaint, flat. The finish coat was applied to all included trim surfaces using the number of coats needed to ensure an even and consistent finish coat of Sherwin Williams, latex, Exterior SuperPaint, satin and gloss (satin on all trim other than the door areas, gloss on all door areas).
